With the Ultralife Titanium Grounding Probe, serious problems can be safely avoided, easily and with no hassle. When it comes to aquariums, we use a variety of technology today to provide the best environment for our marine life, but that can cause its own problems. From pumps to chillers, powerheads and numerous other electrical devices, they all have the potential to emit stray voltage, and this can cause various problems within the aquarium. Various issues, including fin-rot and hole-in-the-head disease, among others, have been attributed to these stray voltages, and so it is essential to avoid stray voltage whenever possible. However, those electrical devices also provide essential support for your aquarium, so removing them is simply not an option. However, with the Ultralife Titanium Grounding Probe, these problems can be safely avoided, easily and with no hassle. The Grounding Probe features a solid titanium rod for superb quality performance, an insulated transition join, and a 10-foot-long grounding lead for maximum flexibility. By using only the finest materials and flexible, long-length grounding lead, this grounding probe is suitable for any situation, and provides needed protection for your tank environment. A true ‘fit and forget’ solution, once correctly installed it does its job 24 hours per day, protecting your tank and wildlife from stray voltage issues, giving you peace of mind and your aquarium a healthier environment. Don’t take the chance of having stray voltage in your aquarium.

Installation Instructions: Attach suction cup to a flat vertical surface that is above the water level. Never allow suction cup or transition joint (above the suction cup) to become submerged in the water. Make sure that enough o the titanium rod is under the water level (allow for tank or sump evaporation). Next, attach the eyelet to a known ground. You can remove the center screw on any outlet cover and attach the eyelet. The outlet should be grounded. You should always create a drip-loop by making at least one coil in the 10ft. ground probing wire. This prevents water from traveling down the wire and entering directly into your electrical outlet. You should also make sure the ground that you connect the eyelet to is above the water level that the titanium probe is located in.
